GPI has been awarded the international tender for the provision of a RIEDL PHASYS Automated Pharmacy System firstly into the Prince Charles Hospital, Wales, with a further 2 installations required during the course of the project.

“GPI (GPI:IM), leading company on the MTA market in information systems and social and healthcare services, reporting that it has been awarded the international tender for the provision of a RIEDL PHASYS Automated Pharmacy System firstly into the Prince Charles Hospital, Wales, with a further 2 installations required during the course of the project. The public procurement project, which lasts 10 years, was awarded for the provision of a new robotic system for the storage and retrieval of medications into the new pharmacy currently being built in the Prince Charles Hospital, part of the CWM TAF Morgannwg University Health Board (UHB), which supplies four hundred thousand in and out patients per year. An L-shaped 10,006 mt + 4,206 mt long x 2,619 mt high automated warehouse with 2 multi-picking grippers moving at 5m/sec speed, a fridge module and an automated loading module will be installed. The RIEDL system has a capacity of 20,000 packs and will output 2,500 different medication packs per day).”
